Authors Note: At the beginning fo the school year, for my Writing Lab Class, we had to write journal entries. We could write about anything in them, so I chose to write a story for my journal entries. It's called "Harutei-Half angel, Half devil."
It was sort of a manga that I wanted to create once. *Sigh* I never finished it. I typed twenty-something pages of it too o_O Some of the chapters might seem rushed X_X And here's the first chapter.

Chapter 1-The extraordinary Child
In the deep blackness of he night, you usually hear nothing, except silence. It's so tranquil and soft that you would never expect to hear a little girl being loud and annoying after a science expedition with her mother. Well, there's a first time for everything, right?
Little Mei blurted out her many, many questions to Kate Su, her mother. The science expedition lasted way londer than Kate thought, it was way past Mei's bedtime! 10:23 PM to be exact, as she checked her glow-in-the-dark watch. Mei kept on and on with her questions.
"Mommy," Mei asked, "why did the ancient Romans make shapes with stars in the sky? Why does the north star guide sailors? Why not another star? Why do shooting stars only come once in-" Kate interrupted.
"Mei! Please be quiet, people might be trying to sleep."
"What people?" The six-year old asked. "We live practically all alone, nobody lives near our house." House wasen't exactly the correct word to use. Conservatry, or laboratory, would be right. But in little Mei SU's case, the laboratory was home for her. The steam of chemicals, the collosal rooms and windows, the beautiful veiw that came from the clear, dome ceiling, was perfect to her.
"Now, that's not true Mei, the Demin's are probably sleeping." Kate said. She pointed to the small house where Laura, Tim, and their son, Yuro lived.
"Yea...I guess you're righ-" Mei's voice was interrupted by a baby cry.
"Mom...what was that?"
Kate didn't reply. Her face looked very puzzled, even though it was hard to see in the night.
"I think it came...from the bushes," Kate finally said, glancing at the bushes right in front of the conservatory. Mei and Kate started moving around the greenery of the bushes, but they didn't have to do this for long before they found a very extraordinary child. She had tiny devil horns and a pointed tail. Being that the Demin's household was a distance away(yet still at a distance where Mei could point it out easily) the Demin's didn't hear Kate's loud and terrified scream.
"YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!! She's a devilspawn!" Kate grabbed her daughter and was about to run for it. But, Mei excaped her mother's grasp and looked closer at the baby.
"Mommy! Calm down-" Mei said to Kate. "-And look at this."
Mei pointed to two petite angel wings and a glowing halo that hovered over the baby.
"But...how can this be possible? There's no such thing as an angel or devil, they aren't mortal!" Kate screamed again. This made the odd-looking baby cry even louder. Mei replied back, but she whispered.
"Mom! Quiet! You're upsetting her," she said, motioning toward the baby. "Well, what do we do with her, mom?" Kate looked very strangely at her brainchild of a daughter. She didn't know what she would do with an immortal child that came from who knows where. Maybe the child is wearing some sort of costume, Kate thought to herself. I guess I should bring her back to the lab to see...
The abnormalities wouldn't come off the infant. Kate didn't want to hurt the baby either, so she used a sleeping potion that she put in the baby's milk. The devil horns and tail were tender but still too hard to be some sort of costume. The same was with the wings. And, the halo was still hovering in thin air. Test after test, week after week, Kate finally decided-the child was truly an immortal soul-half angel, half devil.
