A/N: This chapter is very long, so I"ll probably have to edit it later ^^;;; Oh yea, if you were wondering, this story kind of takes place in the future, 'cuz they can drive little airplanes and stuff XD They also use potions, like in the last chapter with the sleeping one...And one last thing. I"m changing Yuro's name to Toshiro, because I like that name better O_o'' I"ll edit the first chapter later.

Chapter 2-Fourteen Years Later

It had been fourteen years since that incident happened. The little child grew, and so did her abnormalities. This proved Kate's hypothesis-Harutei, as Mei named her- was an actual angel/devil. Kate had always thought because of Harutei's heritage, she would destroy the world or something along those lines. She did have strange powers-like being able to form a fireball in her hand. Her other strange opower was bringing happiness when people really needed it-and it always worked. Kate was wrong about Harutei being bad, though. Sure, sometimes she got into a lot of trouble. But, sometimes she was one of the sweetest and kindest people you could meet.

There were still so many unsolved mysteries about Harutei. Like, why would a devil and an angel have a relationship? And there was still the question of how Harutei ended up on earth. That was why the Demin's were off on one of their own science expeditions, trying to help Mei and Kate solve more questions.

Harutei was now fourteen, and she was angry that she had to stay confined to the observatory almost all the time. Harutei wished she could be like Mei, who's twentieth birthday was today. She lead a normal life, and she didn't have to stay cooped up inside a laboratory the whole day, even though she chose to most of the time. But, even if Harutei was stuck inside, there was always something to do. She would spend time with Mei-they had become the best of friends as well as sisters. And sometimes, no, all the time, Toshiro would come over.

Mei and Toshiro were more than friends. They became a couple when Harutei turned twelve years old. They were already meant for eachother-hopeless romantics, as Harutei called them. As children, they always looked at the stars together at night, and always played with eachother. The Demin's were the only ones who knew about Harutei's existance.

Kate had a nice but small party planned for her daughter. It couldn't be very big because Harutei couldn't be discovered, but there wasen't many people to invite otherwise. Kate really had no other family, and her husband was...missing. It was like that for as long as Harutei was around;he dissapeared the same year that Kate and Mei found her. And of coarse, Toshiro's paren't were somewhere tropical, doing the experiments. They would be gone for at least two years.

Harutei styled her long, reddish-brown hair into the pigtails that she wore every day, with her navy-blue hair scrunchies. If Harutei wasen't an immortal figure, she would look like any fourteen-year old girl. Her attire was very casual. She wore a black shirt with blue, short sleeves. There was a little bit of spider-webbing material on the sleeves((n_n;; I"ll draw her and show you what I mean! )) and she wore blue, baggy pants.

Mei came out of her room, brushing her shoulder-length golden-blonde hair, her strands still not untangling.

"Harutei!" Mei called. "Could you come and help me with my hair?" Mei was never good with styling her hair, even though she was already twenty years old. Harutei was seven when she was helping an eleven-year old Mei with her hair.

"Okay, hold on," Harutie replied back, tying the last knot on her shoe. Even if she's a genious, Harutei thought, Mei will never properly take care of her hair.

Harutei walked into Mei's room and sighed at it's messiness.
Mei was almost perfect, as Harutei had stated once before. She was a genious. At age seven, she was determined to learn eighth grade math. And she did. Mei graduated valedictorian in her class, and now she had hopes of becoming a big scientist.

And now, Harutei still wondered how in the world Mei managed to be a genious, but not stay organized. The medium-sized room was cluttered with clothes, test tubes, and research papers. Mei's chemical and potion closet was out of order, which Kate said was very dangerous and unprofessional for scientists. From these faults, Harutei noticed that Mei was just like any other human being who made mistakes.
